DID YOU KNOW…Addiction treatment, when tailored to the needs of the individual, can be as effective as treatments for other illnesses such as diabetes, hypertension and asthma. About 92,000 Pennsylvanians entered treatment for alcohol and drug addictions during fiscal year 2005-06. However, the Department of Health estimates that over 941,500 residents of our state are in need of this service. |
